Meet Our Children’s Courtyard Staff – Ms. Megan, Early Preschool Teacher

Meet Ms. Megan, the lead early preschool teacher and safety captain for our Children’s Courtyard location in DuPont, WA! She has a Child Development Associate’s and is nearing her one-year anniversary at this location. Read on to learn more about this fabulous member of our staff!

Why did you decide to take a job in early childhood education?

I have always been great with children since I come from a large family. I knew this would be a job suitable for my personality.

How is being involved in early education rewarding to you? 

It is so very rewarding to watch the children’s faces light up when you just walk through the door.

Do you have a favorite accomplishment since working at your center?

My favorite accomplishment is getting to know almost each child on a personal level. It is so special to have a personal relationship with so many children in the center!

Tell us about your relationship with the families in your classroom.

They are awesome. We have nonstop communication with most of the children’s parents. With the new “brightwheel” mobile app we have, we are constantly sending pictures, videos and special notes.

Can you share a memorable moment that you’ve had at your school?

Memorable moments for me were taking the children on field trips. It was very crazy but the children enjoyed it!

If the students at your school could describe you in one word, what would it be?

They would say EXCITING!
